Stamp Duty Land Tax First time Buyer Relief Ending
This relief ends at midnight on 24 March 2012. Any Purchase completed after that time will not attract the Relief
Changes in the Law about (formerly private) Drains and Sewers On 1 October 2011 all (formerly private) sewers under private property which are used by two or more Properties became Public Sewers. Also any Private Drain (serving only one Property) became a Public Sewer from the point at which it left the curtilage of the Property. WARNING: It is illegal to build within 3 meters of a public sewer without a Build Over Agreement with the Local Water Company. Anyone contemplating building an extension or Conservatory or buying a Property on which they might wish to do this should undertake a Drain Survey as it is unlikely that Local Water Companies will be have information about the Sewers which became public on 1 October 2011 for some time, if at all, and reveal them in Water/Drainage Searches. Huge Savings on Conveyancing Fees There is no VAT payable on our Fees From 4 January 2011 Save 20% on our already competitive Fees. We are committed to helping the Property Market recovery.
